Programme Description

Equips students to lead Bible translation and literacy projects, undertake basic descriptive linguistic analysis, and translate the Scriptures into African languages. Interdisciplinary, combining biblical, linguistic, missiological and ministerial training. Total 116 credit hours.

Bachelor of Arts in Bible Translation and Applied Linguistics is offered by the School of Undergraduate Studies and leads to the award of the Bachelor of Arts. Entry is by a written entrance examination set by CBTS followed by an interview. The programme runs over 3 years, with 30 places available at the Ndu and Kumba campuses and through our Distance Learning Centres.
